For reference, here’s a few incomplete lists:

A few that I don’t see in the lists are:
- llvm dragon: https://llvm.org/Logo.html
- buildah pug: https://buildah.io/
- podman seal: https://podman.io/
- openSUSE gecko: https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Artwork_brand#Logo
Xenia, hands down. Absolutely relatable mascot
+1 For Xenia! Xenia is the best!
Not official, but who cares, Xenia is the best!
I like the Lutris otter’s design a lot. Not sure if Mullvad counts as traditional open source but its little mole is cute too.
This may sound silly, but do you have any idea if Magic the Gathering’s elemental otter is inspired by Lutris? It seems like too convenient of a name.
Otters are part of the “lutrinae” subfamily, so they’re both based on the same naming root.
Konqi and Xenia, same as everyone else said, but the LLVM dragon also looks rad asf
Kiki, Konqi and Tux
Kiki is Krita’s mascot, Konqi is KDE’s, the last one (Linux) is also in my favorite list because penguin
I’ve always loved Konqi and the other kde dragons. I think the deigns are really cute. I also the like sudo sandwich because of how wacky it is.
Konqi and Xenia for sure.
Maybe not a furry, but the kinda official godot mascot. Godette, is pretty cute imo
