She’s just dropping a hint to be better, alright.

Sometimes it really is just that simple no need to read too much into it. Just meet each other halfway!

My two longest relationships were with a woman who loved The Office, and one who loved Parks and Recs. I suffered through both shows for their sake, but the third time they wanted me to watch it with them again, it was over. There are so many shows, but fans of these sitcoms seem to want to just watch them over and over and watch nothing else. It’s weird. Also both of them cheated on me… go figure.

I don’t understand the appeal of these shows. I’ve also had co-workers try to cheat on their bf with me, so the whole office romance thing has no appeal to me. If you don’t like your bf/gf, grow a pair and break up before you start trying to bang your co-workers.

I don’t understand the appeal of these shows.

It’s a funny sitcom with a strong main romance that was produced during that sweet spot where a show like this could do what were basically syndication episodes while still having long term story progression. It wasn’t full of Netflix filler either.

fans of these sitcoms seem to want to just watch them over and over and watch nothing else.

It’s usually something people with anxiety do. It’s like a comfort food to them.

I have a similar level (though I do enjoy other genres as well) of fixation with watching the star trek franchise, but I wouldn’t force anyone to watch it with me, let alone multiple times, especially if they aren’t also into such a genre.

If I were in a relationship and my SO we’re to watch shows with me, I’d be fine with us alternating between our genres. If your partner doesn’t want to be open minded about your interests too, then they ought to not be in a relationship until they figure that out.

I’ll rewatch Star Trek too. I haven’t seen it as much as my ex and I watched The Office together. I usually try to watch new stuff, but sometimes it helps me sleep.

I’ve never been in a relationship where my partner watches my stuff, but I’ve seen all of girly stuff that I never wanted to watch.

Yea, same boat. The last long term relationship I just got out of early this year we watched The Office basically on repeat. I’ve seen the whole series about 300-400 times besides the last 1 or 2 seasons because they hated the seasons without Michael. It’s a cozy show for sure and good for background noise, but I’d rather watch almost anything else.

Roy got a better ending. Owned his own construction company and married someone who (presumably) wasn’t dallying with a coworker

They had to make roy shitty and gave him anger issues. I think the worst pam moment imo was when they looked for the creep and she said something like: in times like that, she wished she was still with roy, because he would give him a beating.

Most couples think they’re Jim and Pam, but my ex-wife and I always laughed about how much we were like Michael and Jan. It wasn’t as funny when we started arguing in front of dinner guests in real life though.

I always saw me and my ex as Andy and April from Parks and Rec without the age gap. She always wanted us to be Pam and Jim, but I’ve always hated both of them as characters. They’re fucking bullies.

I don’t know where my wife fits into this equation, but I find Stanley to be the best match for who I am, and is definitely the most relatable character on the show for me.

My ex and I are Batman and Catwoman. Completely different life goals, but we want to see each other succeed and are good friends. Plus she’s smoking hot, and you could cut a cake from the sexual tension

Does she think Jim is gay? Not a red flag if she wants to be friends with a gay guy

But it is a red flag if she thinks you’re not her “Jim”
