just all good reminders of something more important than your vote:

the constitution is not permanent or immutable and there exist people and groups who know this and want to change things. in bad ways.

the constitution does not “give” rights, it only takes them, and rights themselves are something that exist outside of all power structures.

    hit the gym.

    the nazis are.

I’m sorry, what is this supposed to be?

Quick Edit: Oh it’s blind! I pity anyone who feels the need to look at Blind. I read it as a descriptor, “blind lunacy”

What is “White House & Policy,” why does it say “slync[dot]io” under it?

A shocking number of people seem to think this is from a White House account, but there’s no real source.

    What is “this place”?

Oh they think they’re being so very clever not saying specifically that they want to repeal women’s right to vote.

It’s definitely satire. Wanting to take away single men’s right to vote and ending with Trump’s sign off are obvious giveaways.

It reads like satire, but there is a real faction that are trying to repeal the 19th amendment.

Oh absolutely, but I haven’t seen people sincerely saying the way to remedy it is by removing single men’s suffrage. The vibe I got was that this was using the real opinions and arguments of the people who oppose women’s suffrage then humorously turning it on its head by arguing against men’s suffrage, which is an equally reasonable (completely unreasonable to be exact) remedy to the arguments as what those people will claim.

No taxation without representation is the claimed founding issue of the USA, so logically that means they want families to have the vote and pay the taxes. Singles can’t vote, but also don’t need to pay.

I’m not sure a lot of people would choose the vote in that choice.

Doesn’t it make sense to have voters that are invested in the long term future?

And singles are covered by their parent family.

Singles are covered by their parent family

Explain how that works. Are you saying that I, a single adult in my 30s who has not lived with my family for over a decade nor seen them in years should not be allowed to vote and should be covered by my parent’s vote? If not, when does that stop? When you get your first job? Lots of working adults live with their parents. First apartment? What about college kids who have an apartment? Do you lose your right to vote independently if you have to move home to care for your aging parents? Or do you just never get a chance to vote until you get married. But then what happens if you get divorced? Does the now single man (assuming a heterosexual relationship because in a world where voting rights are removed they aren’t letting two men or two women get married) retain the right to vote, or does he lose it until he gets married again? What if he moves home with Mom and Dad?

This is just fucking stupid and it’s only a way to keep women from voting and force people to get married and pop out new wage slaves and to only allow the vote to people most likely to fit certain demographics. Pass this and next thing we’ll go back to only families who own their home can vote and then it’ll be only church going home owning families.

Are the billionaires of the world without children? No? Do they still try to destroy the world for personal gain?

Look me in the eye and try telling me that parents by design have an interest in a long term future. Because I’m not seeing that when I look at the people getting elected.

You’re missing what the 19th amendment fundamentally is:

The Nineteenth Amendment (Amendment XIX) to the United States Constitution prohibits the United States and its states from denying the right to vote to citizens of the United States on the basis of sex, in effect recognizing the right of women to vote. The amendment was the culmination of a decades-long movement for women’s suffrage in the United States, at both the state and national levels, and was part of the worldwide movement towards women’s suffrage and part of the wider women’s rights movement.

I propose a new amendment that does not allow single men to vote. If you aren’t protecting and providing you aren’t man enough to decide where this country goes. This does not apply to single women. Women need to care and nurture at all times so they always have a vote.

Someone can sell that to a chud I am sure. We should try it

Why not expand it? I mean single families can’t really see the big picture and might want some arbitrarily different things. It should be an entire community gets one vote so things average out. We’ll work together for a collective good that benefits all.

    Wait…

They had this policy in Franco-era Spain. Families got to vote, with the right being exercised by the head of the family.
