This is the hive mentality that drives social media. It’s the only way it can succeeed. That, and the uquenching need for validation of course.
Reddit/Lemmy are definitely worse in this regard than something like Instagram
Game of Thrones (the book and series) was way over rated. 4.5/10 wouldn’t stop half way through again.
See the unpopular opinions thread on blowjobs being mid.
Uh… yeah? that’s generally how things work alright.
They’re 14 and this is supposed to be deep.

No exceptions.
Also, all of her songs except Trouble are boring AF
I don’t like when people just say they like or dislike something… I like when they can explain why they like or dislike something. If they can’t do that, I assume their like/dislike is just group pressure from the beginning.
Because stabbing my eyes out seems less painful than watching that TV show?
Comparing two different things.
- liking something barely anyone likes -> no one is invested enough to care.
- disliking something everyone loves -> everyone is invested
Someone (irl) said that Metallica - St. Anger is a great album the other day and it caused a bit of a ruckus in the group (mostly “oh, that’s a new sentence”)
Some of St. Anger’s songwriting is ok. The drums are absolutely ridiculous & the production is ass in general. But some live versions of St. Anger songs can be decent to good.
Actual picture of the drum recording session for that album

There’s a lot of (hopefully joking) hate on the pineapple pizza crowd. If you liked certain Star Wars movies you’re likely to have all your Star Wars opinions disregarded by other fans. I think people like to make fun of the out group regardless.
🍍+🍕=❤️
I didn’t like the Odyssey
There are two of us! I thought it was just ok, definitely not what I’d expect to dominate theatres.
