I honestly thought I was gonna bail until the very last minute…but I’m so freaking glad I didn’t…
I was truly, honestly afraid of disappointing ChaoticNeutralCzech with my irl form and presentation, so much so that I took an extra hour while shaving. Of course, due to my habit of doing everything last-minute, I only managed to get to bed close to 2AM, when I was supposed to be getting up at 6AM…so last night was practically restless 😭
So with dark bags under my eyes and a completely empty stomach, I made my way to Prague. Traveling alone was…interesting.
I was wearing jorts, so I was showing lots of freshly shaved l e g. It was a bit scary, as I thought I’d get shit for it from other people in public, but nobody seemed to really care. That, however, didn’t stop me from being anxious af, even tho I knew that Prague was a big city and people here couldn’t care less about me

Finally meeting up with ChaoticNeutralCzech was quite a relief. Not only did neither of us seem disappointed, he was wearing fox ears and carrying a big “Trans rights are human rights” sign, which was actually really reassuring. I felt…surprisingly safe with him. Well…I did, but we still had to sit down for a bit, at my request. Traveling alone is just…terrifying and I needed a moment.
So, we sat and talked. We exchanged pins, I gave him a trans-themed, pastel-colored feather and he gave me a pride flag, complete with the pastel trans colors included. I finally have a pretty pin to wear on my backpack ❤️
When walking to the actual conference, we decided to hold hands (lewd!) and I got sooo many compliments about my soft hands, omfg. That was like literally the best 💜
I think he was right. When the annoying body hair is gone, you can really my skin is different. It totally is girl skin!

I always need a minute to process my surroundings when visiting a new place, so I was mostly getting a feel for the rough amount of people there, the locations of the toilets, stalls and everything…I didn’t talk to people immediately and I was still nervous. Buuut, once I actually saw the place we were in properly, I kinda got the message and slowly started feeling less and less anxious.
There were some trans people. Some GNC folks, people with bright-colored hair and people with pride pins and flags, everyone chatting, smiling, nerding happily. It really was a safe little haven.
Like the complete dumbass I am, I didn’t order any lunch (you were supposed to do that ahead of time, but who eats anyway, right? skill issue /s) and hadn’t eaten really anything today, so I was kinda starving. Well thankfully, a kind soul (ChaoticNeutralCzech) decided to share their food with me and I did not, in fact, turn into a skeleton. Thank you, kind soul 🙏
We changed our sign from “Trans rights are human rights” to “Trans tits are human tits”. You can guess who’s idea that was 🤣. Titty memes go brrrrr
After that, we bought and shared desert, so neither of us was hungry, and I got something special! Jokingly stealing CNC’s Firefox fox ears, he actually told me I could keep them. Thanked him a bunch, ofc 🩷
And now I have a pair of cute fox ears, which I’m really happy for. This is my headband arc fr :3

We walked around the interior of the faculty, occasionally striking up conversations and/or people approaching us due to our sign. Talked to a fellow transfem, discussed HRT. Recommended prog to her over and over again, told her about my 3-day valerate cycle and learned that she’s on enanthate, doing SubQ. Honestly, I was super proud of her. I’m proud of people doing SubQ, it’s just much less sufferring than IM (imo) 🩷
And we also took pictures…dear god the pictures 😭

We took some pictures and I look…well, I’d actually say I look happy. Cause I really, really was happy 💜
The pimple in the middle of my forehead disagrees tho 😭

Outside, ChaoticNeutralCzech decided to give me a BIIG Haj plushy. Tbh, I felt like I in no way deserved a gift that big, so I gave him the money for it 😆
I feel better, this way…
In the end, we decided to take the same train home from Prague, since that worked for both of us. I fell asleep rather quickly, because going from sitting all day every day to suddenly being on my feet for the whole day was quite a shock! Not sure if that was the reason, but my calves started really hurting. Really hurting a lot…I took some magnesium when I came home and it’s been a while, but they still hurt so much…

ChaoticNeutralCzech had to get off earlier than me, so he just slid more stickers into the bag I was holding (while I was asleep! smh /s) and got off when he needed to. I made it home safely, although in great pain because of my calves. Finally ate something, took the magnesium and started relaxing. Being on your feet all day is surprisingly exhausting, even tho it’s super fun!

@ChaoticNeutralCzech@feddit.org, if you’re reading this…thank you so much 💜. I was so afraid I was gonna bail on you (sorry…) and I’m overjoyed that I ended up going, because goddamn…that was an amazing day. It really helped take my mind off of things, with my boyfriend and living situation and all that.
Plus, ngl…with your affirming words, this legitimately felt like real date. Like an actual date, the thing I’ve never experienced in my life. Holy fuck did I enjoy it 🩷
Thank you for the stickers. Thanks so much for the big Haj, for the Arch logo pendant, for the pride flag pin, the fox ears, the constant affirmations…and most of all, thanks for having me with you. I loved every second of it. I’m so glad I went with you ❤️

      Thank you! ❤️
I’ve heard lots about C3 from ChaoticNeutralCzech and I’m really considering attending next year. With him, of course…
We totally should set up a Lemmy corner :3

    My perspective:

I brought a dry-erase sign to make it easier to communicate what she wants from the attendees (she fantasized about sex on Saturday). I wrote “Trans rights are human rights 🏳️‍⚧️” when I came to Prague, and was happy to see nobody appearing to object. I looked around a bit and stored my stuff in the cloakroom, then it was time to return to the metro station and escort Miisha. She’d almost had a panic attack travelling alone, and we had to sit for a while after meeting each other, which brought her to tears. We then walked across the campus, hand in hand. I had Firefox-branded fox ears to be the weirder one of the two and have any strange looks point at me instead. Luckily not necessary. She took a while to collect herself after arriving and spent some time away from people talking with me nervously. Seeing her anxiety go away once she realized she’s safe was lovely though, and I was able to no longer keep calming her down and look out for people interested in the sign instead, approaching them and offering them to talk to Miisha. All conversations went fine, some even resulted in contact swapping. I only had one lunch coupon but the portion was big enough, then we bought a dessert and shared it. She made me change “rights” to “tits”. However, I couldn’t convince her to go to women’s toilets despite being legally and apparently female. Only when the number of people went down 1.5 hours before closing did we go around all the stalls and really checked out the conference. We ended up not seeing any talks, they are all recorded anyway. Then we took a photo and I gave her some c3 stickers and a big Blåhaj (she’s only had the small one to this day), although she insisted on paying for it.

    It’s all been really fun!

“Apparently female”, yeah right. I wish 😭

I enjoyed my time with you so fucking much. Thank you 💜
