I wasn’t downvoted or anything, my comment was just older in the chain and got buried a little by newer comments. It’s the third comment when sorted by old.

What have we actually been doing to stand up for Cuba under the current government? We haven’t spoken out against the US embargo and we abstained from the UN vote on Cuba in July for the first time in decades. And then there’s the whole thing with Venezuela. We supposedly are all about countries banding together against superpowers, but apparently not in our own region where the US is asserting a sphere of influence under the Donroe Doctrine. So, forgive me for not having my patriotism surge at news of this UN vote.
