Adriellen Barbosa Lima, 22, who was shot and killed in Mineiros, in southwestern Goiás, became known for a rare case of twins with different fathers. At the time, the young woman was 19 years old, and her pregnancy resulting from heteroparental superfecundation was the 20th such case recorded worldwide up to that point.

Adriellen was killed on April 20 at a house near the Buena Vista housing development. Joelson Ribeiro da Conceição, 23, the young woman’s partner, is the prime suspect in the crime. As of the latest update to this report on Wednesday (29), he had not been located by the police.

To add to the other comment, albino babies have not been treated kindly in the past

A lot of people haven’t been treated nicely because of some gene defect. And albino doesn’t even come with any mayor disabilities.

I know you’re joking but I’ve heard of weirder in my family, a majority of the time we pop out looking pale and pink but on rare occasions some native DNA will come to the surface and they come out tan. Hasn’t happened in a couple too many generations so I suspect the native blood has become too thin but with an ethnically mixed enough population this could happen relatively frequently.

Native American, most of my ancestoral branches have had good relationships with the tribes we’ve encountered over the last 500 years give or take since the oldest American branch has been here. Sometimes we intermarried, hell at least one branch outright became fully integrated into the Cherokee, got some ancestors in one of their grave yards back east and have some pictures of my last ancestor born amongst them.

Best I get out of the deal is that I tan a bit better than your average person of non-Metis Scottish diaspora.

That’s honestly cool - not cool she was killed, that is tragic. But personally I’d have been thrilled to get a variety pack like that, nature is so interesting and they’d both be my kids regardless of who fathered them.

A threesome baby though? I guess guys have to worry, but women know they are the mother. A lot of the bad stuff in the world has come from men trying to control women to make sure they are the biological father of their kids. So setting that aside, it just is cool to me - cats have litters like that, step siblings. Humans usually don’t.

It’s not really about control for me. I don’t want to spend money on a kid that’s not mine.

I’ve heard of this way before AI was a thing.

And rare thing happens often, if the sample size is large enough. Only every milionth person would still be 8000 people on the world.

rare things do happen. my point is not that it didn’t happen, but that here you have ton of ai slop presenting multiple different fake images of supposedly same story.
among other things, it does not seem to be the case that the kids were one white, one black - the woman decided to do the dna testing when they were 8 months (if they were black and white, it would probably became suspicious sooner). she fucked them both on same day, but it probably wasn’t random one night stand from the bar, because she was able to reach both of them for the test.

this is as close to original source as i have found, interviews her attending physician: https://g1.globo.com/go/goias/noticia/2022/09/07/gemeos-de-pais-diferentes-medico-explica-a-superfecundacao-heteroparental.ghtml

        translation: firefox built-in translating tool

The woman bonded with two men on the same day and became pregnant with both. Doctor Túlio Franco explained that fertilizations in different eggs happened in a matter of a few hours between one and the other.
        (…)
The mother of the boys explained that the children are very similar, but that doubts arose regarding the fatherhoods. When they were eight months old, she did the DNA scans with the man she thought was the father. The result was positive only for one child.

She then remade the exams, which confirmed the paternity for a child. “I remembered that I had been related to another man and I called him to take the test, which was positive,” says the mother.
        (…)
According to her mother, the father of one of them took over the two boys and made the records in the registry office. “He takes care of both, helps me a lot to create and gives all the necessary support they need,” he said.

There are instances of two different dna samples in one person, so don’t. Also, white babies can be born to black women and black babies to white women.

What’s the cut-off for “nature”? I mean, it’s not like DNA tests grow wild on the PCR plains, and it seems to me that the DNA test was the “tattle tale”.

So, not twins in the biological sense then? Is it not so that a fertilised egg must split and then two babies develop from that one egg for them to become twins? This is two separate eggs being fertilised from different men in a short time frame. All they have done is share the womb.

Identical twins, yes. You can have multiple eggs fertile at the same time. Two of my childhood friends were a boy and girl who were twins, obviously look quite different lol

Thanks for the knowledge! I’ve been walking around knowing that Twins and Identical Twins are different; yet thinking that sex differences were developed post fertilization, like we do some in-vitro reptile shit, hahaha

Mental apologies to my AP bio teacher, who probably taught me better! He took great pleasure in publicly slaughtering transphobic ideology, before it was cool.

I think that’s just identical twins, but fraternal twins are two separate eggs being fertilized, which is how you can have twins of different sexes

The concept of “twins” is far older than any knowledge of eggs (in mammals) and sperm cells. Two babies come out at the same time, language decided to call those twins.

Heh, I added that because I KNOW if I hadn’t and just said “eggs” (or even “egg cells”), some smartass would’ve come along like “what, they didn’t know what this 🥚🥚🐣 is?” You just CANNOT win with the internet ;D
