A lot of these guys think there’s loads and loads of centrist voters who the DNC can sway with a more moderate candidate. It’s failed to work repeatedly because most “independent centrists” are just racist ass Republicans who don’t want their families to know they’re pieces of shit. The hype a candidate like AOC could muster with younger generations is what they should be aiming for, but they don’t donate or vote in primaries so they’ll be ignored and won’t turn out, again.
