What the fuck are we doing
This sketch is funny and everything, but I feel this part in my fucking soul.

I don’t use PowerPoint and I never ask my employees to either. It is a massive waste of time.
The day I’m so lazy and stupid that I need to be fed information like a baby bird, I will just go walk out in front of a bus.
Also it’s absolutely infuriating to work with. I don’t use it often so every time I open it every button menu option whatever is in a different spot. Also if you don’t do it in a VERY specific way your layout goes apeshit, just like Word.
Only to spend a lot effort on it hoping to please whatever expectations the viewers have to then realize that nobody cares and forgets your presentation the moment it ends.
Fuck everything about it.
I got laid off right as I was having surgery last year, so I went to a few job interviews in a panic, on painkillers. At one point they were like “What do you think about XYZ” and whatever the acronym was, I had never even heard it. So I just looked around and said, “Acronyms, eh?” and laughed. And everyone else laughed, except one guy who realized I was bluffing, and that got super awkward real quick. But for a second, we all really connected over how fucking stupid it was. (MSP job for which I am grateful not to have)
MSP = Microsoft Paint
for those who were also wondering.
Or it could be: Managed service provider.
Generally a shitty vendor that hates the customer and vice versa
Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport actually
Minimal Stupid Product achtually.
Next time they reference XYZ and acronym, say “Fun Fact, that’s technically not an acronym. An acronym is when the letters spell something like NASA or PIN. when you say the letters it’s called initialism.”
For anyone who doesn’t know, MSP stands for Managed Service Provider, which is basically an independent contractor IT company that stands in for businesses’ internal IT department if they’re not big enough (or can’t be bothered) to have their own.
I’m gonna need to have those TPS reports on my desk by Saturday, M’kay?
Yeah, and then there’s the follow-up thought that goes, oh yeah, I guess I’m actually privileged to be in this group of people.
Yeah the stark reminder that at any point you could choose not to live like this, it’s just your quality of life would suffer.
I want to tie a cinder block to my foot and jump off a bridge. I’ll bet some asshole made an acronym for that too.
Believe it or not, part of the agile framework.
But surprisingly close to the waterfall as well
That’s a great chance to practice disassociation.
maybe you are different. maybe you tie that lanyard to your belt loop.
Well now I’m depressed
Good news.
The latest newsletter has a QR code where you can get free counseling from a new (presumably AI-based) partner.
Lanyards? What the fuck is this referencing?
In a lot of companies you get your identification or door access knob on a lanyard.
