PS: Don’t worry, today (9/17/2025) is the day that the house committee deliberates on Macro Rubio’s ability to use the people’s freedom of speech as evidence of terrorist organisation aid.

H.R. 5300, SEC. 226. NO PASSPORTS FOR TERRORISTS AND TRAFFICKERS

So it’s just a matter of time before all the Antifas are sent to concentration camps.

PPS: Sorry everyone, looks like this post got too many upvotes and influenced American politics.

There’s a thread on /r/ conservative right now. It’s fucking amazing. They are out of their goddamn Minds. They’re all celebrating that finally Donald Trump is brave enough to Outlaw this obvious terrorist organization that’s responsible for billions of dollars in property damage. That’s right billions of dollars. They think antifa is caused billions of dollars of property damage. They’re out of their goddamn Minds.

Yes they are, and they’re winning and they’re going to burn our country to the ground while celebrating in the streets.

Keep in mind I can run an LLM that can churn out the low effort comments that sub is known for on 2 year old gaming hardware.

It’s one of the problems with social media now (including this one)

It means that they can now have posts like this: https://old.reddit.com/r/Conservative/comments/1nk8xm0/antifa_is_recognized_as_a_terrorist_group_in_the/

If your comment is called out as antifa, doesn’t matter if you have anything to do with supporting anti-fascists or not, it will add to a report count, one that can be made to be a very big number and has a pseudo legal premise Trump federal agencies WILL go after and which MAGA’s Supreme Court WILL back up. It is a Gleichschaltung moment.

There is a great song by the German punk band „Team Scheiße“, „FA“, with the refrain „Bist du anti Antifa, bist du Fa“ which translates to „If you’re anti Antifa, you’re fa[shist]. A bit simplistic but true.

You joke but we are looking at a whole rewrite of History, multiple times over depending on State. States like Tennessee already made it illegal to teach any history that makes someone feel uncomfortable. That was years back.

It will be an easy transition because they don’t really teach history anyway. Back in the seventies that used to teach history, by the '80s and '90s they did not in any real way and had a very cursory and manipulated history they taught.

the narrative that Nazi Germany was socialist is already gaining traction in many places, it will be taught in school in short order if it’s not already.

See, the place where leftists are deluding themselves is they think just because you can’t repress all knowledge in all places, that somehow the “Truth will overcome” and that people will still learn how things went.

It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t take everyone believing a lie, it just takes a fraction of outspoken assholes to lead a nation down a new direction. They have the monopoly on outspoken assholes unfortunately, so I don’t see any real opposition happening unless every fucking social-recluse on Lemmy and Reddit and discord suddenly decide that their country is more important than their comfort and special needs.

I joke so I can make people feel an emotional connection to what is actually happening around them as they acknowledge the cognitive dissonance and reality.

Um…I mean…terrorists identified by Marco Rubio don’t deserve passports

Sorry liberal, Republicans have 53 seats in the Senate.

We are going to own the libs and Antifa by making them our slave labor source.

It takes 50 votes + VP to change the rules, and rule change is immune from filibuster.

Or the VP can just overrule the senate parliamentarian, they only never did that because “norms and traditions”.

I know. But they don’t want to get rid of the filibuster. The Republicans in the Senate are much less in sync with Trump than House Republicans. Since they’re too chickenshit to really stand up to him, the filibuster allows the Democrats to do the work of denying cloture, and Republicans get to avoid the threats that come with openly defying him.

The VP can override the parliamentarian, but the Senate can override the VP’s override. And it’s worth pointing out that the Senate is very protective of its norms and traditions against outside influence, even now.
