Last weeks thread here

Welcome to this week’s casual kōrero thread!

This post will be pinned in this community so you can always find it, and will stay for about a week until replaced by the next one.

It’s for talking about anything that might not justify a full post. For example:

  • Something interesting that happened to you
  • Something humourous that happened to you
  • Something frustrating that happened to you
  • A quick question
  • A request for recommendations
  • Pictures of your pet
  • A picture of a cloud that kind of looks like an elephant
  • Anything else, there are no rules (except the rule)

So how’s it going?

Sorry I missed posting this this morning. So instead I’ll post it now when everyone’s gone to bed 😅

    Canvas starts tomorrow 4pm.

Here’s my current proposal for a template: pixel map of NZ with !newzealand@lemmy.nz and kiwi, pīwakawaka, and kororā birds

I don’t know what it is about this winter, but I feel very unmotivated. Just feel like hibernating for couple of months.

Through the school holidays everyone in our house has been sleeping longer hours. I figured there must be some low level bug our bodies are fighting but maybe we’re just hibernating.

I’m working on the census survey results, and I’ve realised what an absolute mammoth undertaking this is. We have 42 questions. Then they need breaking down between people who participate on lemmy.nz and those that don’t (only for the interesting ones, but I don’t know what’s interesting until I do it). Then many of the questions are the same as last year, so we should compare and see if there are any major differences or points of interest.

I’m wondering if it might be a good idea to do a series of posts about these. Possibly broken down into the categories that the questions were grouped into. That way you’ll get to see some results before the census next year 😅
