Did Russia think the ship wouldn’t be intercepted or something? Seems odd to burn this ship to cut that cable.
I think it’s more of a ‘poke the bear’ scenario at this point.
The last one got away with it not long ago, although I believe that one was owned by China. Guess they thought it was the perfect time to go for another.
