People who buy a game console just to play nothing but the same sports titles year after year are the absolute worst. I’ll never understand why they’re like this.
I ask that same thing to people that are somehow still playing Minecraft despite having been playing it since it was an alpha. I definitely played a lot of it but I can’t even touch it anymore I don’t care what mods you put on it
It doesn’t bother you when other people do stupid, wasteful things? Buying a $500 console just to play the same $70+ game every year with no changes or improvements over last year’s version (other than a pointless roster update), is stupid and wasteful.

They have friends and enjoy playing this game with them.
But how can you play the same game over and over and not get bored?

Think of them like blood plasma. They cover the cost of console development so that the rest of us can play real games.

I think it’s stupid but I don’t take it personally. Calling them the absolute worst is incredibly over the top.
If they enjoy it, can’t we let them enjoy it?
