In this version, replying to comments is much more pleasant, as the whole comment section doesn’t have to reload anymore. Now, the new comment just slides right in!
You can now also subscribe to and unsubscribe from communities.
Thanks! I was wondering if the reloading was intended or maybe a bug. Although that was for upvoting
It was intended. I had to rush out the first release when Reddit made the API pricing announcement, and I’m really bad at recursive programming, so I had to hack this weirdness together.
Up/downvoting will (hopefully) be soon fixed in the same way, I’ve got help now
no worries, take your time. we appreciate you being active here.
Ahoj. Is it possible to have pictures in posts clickable to it would open in full screen and be able to zoom in with pinch? And to copy them to iOS clipboard.
Nevermind 2nd part, copy works I just didn’t notice small share button.
Happy to see so much effort being put into this client!
Love the video. Great post
When I upvote a comment, it reloads the comments page. Is that a known issue?
Yes, this will be fixed in today’s update
Works great! I also like the new feedback click too. You’re making great strides, man! Loving seeing the new features and fixes come to life. How far away is the ability to look at a list of communities and visit them?
Is it intended behavior that one has to sign in again when the app updates?
Yes, there was a big migration from an old way of storing accounts, and I’m still not 100% sure how I’d like to go about it. So for now, every update deletes the accounts so you wouldn’t end up in a situation where you have a broken account list.
This will, of course, be disabled when the full version comes out.
Got it! Thanks for confirmation! Keep up the good work ☺️
Would be it possible to somehow detect links to other Lemmy instances and open them within the app and not the browser?
For example I found this post https://lemmy.ml/post/1167477 which is an advertisement for a new community but it opens in the browser. It would be amazing if clicking a link like that opened within the app so the subscribe function worked.
