It’s the scientists talking about dark matter like it’s as established as an electron whereas dark matter and energy is more like aether. The entire evidence for dark matter (and dark energy) has been generated by matching data to models we are sure are incorrect (quantum gravity).
And we will keep using it until we have a better model
