I fully agree, which is why I said you need to actively protest. If you stay quiet, you are part of the problem. Censoring is equal to staying quiet. The problem does not go away by staying quiet.

Banning certain actions and defederation; both are censorship and also patronization. I am against any form of censorship. There are very few exceptions, mainly malicious actions, which need to be banned to protect your users.

We all have the choice to hide certain terms, communities or servers. A much better way is to get confronted by it and actively protest to this kind of censorship. Share your views, your opinions in a non-offending way. Give the others the chance to get educated. If it fails, move on and enjoy your life somewhere else.

I just realized that the term “casualties” also included wounded. I was only talking about the death toll, which is at about 250k according the MOD of UK. The graph of Ukraine, however, is talking about 900k killed. And that is exactly my point.

Be aware, in a war, the data provided by one of the participating nations, is most likely inaccurate. The last number I saw, calculated by multiple third parties, was around 250k casualties.

Yeah, all good and nice, but as long as they are not part of all linux distributions, I will not use them. I need a ls because I know it is working on all machines that I use. Additionally, don’t forget that introducing new tools also introduces new attack surfaces, something you want to avoid on very important servers.

All services you see above are provided to EU citizens, which is why they also have to abide by GDPR. GDPR does not disallow the gathering of information. Google, for example, is GDPR compliant, yet they are number 1 on that list. That’s why I would like to know if European companies still try to have a business case with personal data or not.
