tucker and dale vs evil
I came looking for this in the comments. So unexpectedly good!
This post breaks Rule 3, FYI. From the sidebar:

The NT News headlines are 50% outlandish ‘Florida Man’-type stuff, 50% crocodiles, so it fits pretty well.

How the fuq did he know about the proposed attack, unless he has the ability to see any, and all communication relayed through his cloud of satellites.
The data would all be encrypted, but Starlink can see
a) who is using the data (i.e. it’s the UA military),
b) where the data is being used (each starlink satellite covers a relatively small area to begin with, then you also have triangulation),
c) patterns of data traffic (bit trickier to figure out, but I imagine drone-control traffic will look different to web browsing or watching YouTube), and
d) the schedule of starlink satellite availability for that area (presumably any attack relying on starlink will be timed so that there is a good number of starlink satellites overhead for the duration of the attack, to ensure reliable connection)
Even just with (a) and (b), if you see a bunch of UA military-owned connections heading out into the Black Sea, it’s pretty obvious that there’s an attack in progress.
Well, light treason…
The minotaur/labyrinth design is cool, but it feels stylistically disconnected from the background
where the port is rotated 180 degrees so the push is between the plug and the back of the screen
That ought to be a crime! I would be getting fed up with that pretty quickly and making some improvised modifications to disable the retention clips!
a plug that claws itself in place
Just FYI, you can get DP cables without the retention clips. I too find them unnecessary and annoying.
Yeah, Pole is really different, and so good!
And what I was getting at with ‘instrumental’ is that it can just be added onto any genre/mood/activity and that can help you narrow it down and find stuff you want at that moment. So if you want instrumental electronica, you can find playlists for that, e.g. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/37i9dQZF1EIe2aICIo80hb As for moods and activities, examples would be ‘Chill Instrumental Beats’ https://open.spotify.com/playlist/37i9dQZF1DX0khTY3HFA4M and ‘Instrumental Study’ https://open.spotify.com/playlist/37i9dQZF1DX9sIqqvKsjG8
The term for this would be ‘instrumental’, which I only mention because it might help you find what you want. If you search streaming platforms for ‘[some genre] instrumental’ it might turn up a playlist.
Here’s some favourite albums of mine, which are ‘ambient’ so you might find them terribly boring, but they certainly are instrumental:
Only very recently, and people are rightly suspicious of their motives: https://www.theregister.com/2023/08/24/apple_california_right_repair/
Yeah, in the UK ‘trousers’ means ‘pants’, and ‘pants’ means ‘underpants’. Hilarity may ensue.
Well the latest development is that Apple is now going to support the current right to repair bill in California, but people are rightfully suspicious that they’re going to get some loopholes written in or otherwise neuter the bill.
An article: https://www.theregister.com/2023/08/24/apple_california_right_repair/
What in tarnation?
Broadly: Constructing their hardware so it’s impossible to repair or upgrade by anyone but them (or at all), then lobbying against any attempts to legislate the ‘right to repair’.

Yeah, sorry, that’s glib of me, but I don’t think it’s unfair to say that in terms of victims of capitalism, athletes are a fair way down the list.
The demonym for Niger is ‘Nigerien’, but it’s an understandable mistake in spelling since the difference in pronunciation isn’t really in the ‘-ian’/‘-ien’ part.
