  • Human Knowledge was develeped socially, its fruit should be shared socially. The commercial use of other people’s work is unethical and it’s basically what every copyright holder company do, with or without the permission of the author. To lock human knowledge behind copyright is more than simply wrong, it’s elitism. Thanks to piracy, several books that aren’t published anymore, several games and several movies were able to remain. Doctor Who, for example, have tons of episodes that only exists nowadays because someone recorded them.

  • First, there are comments that deny what I said and there are also comments that confirm it. At least for what involves my country, Brasil, this is not some crazy thing in my head but an established fact.

I don’t want congratulations for absolutely nothing. I haven’t changed any settings either. My YouTube has had history turned off for ages and still had home screen functionality based on subscriptions and reacted videos and it sucked back when history was on too. The post was simply pointing out how mildly irritating it is that YouTube acts like it’s a feature that warrants the legal license to commercially use my viewing data.

Use Mint. Manjaro is a joke, and Mint fixes the Ubuntu’s wrongdoings. The average UI experience is also like Windows. LibreOffice has a config that makes it almost like MicrosoftOffice called “tabbed”. I personally thinks that to set up a Virtual Box in Linux is easier than in Windows. For non-steam games you can use Lutris or Heroic for Epic, nowadays you only have unfixable problems with online multiplayer anti-cheat, Valorant, for example.
