  • I think the organisers already l got the business connections etc.

They will be back as something totally different. Definitely not anything that might tie them back to this scandal, but they wouldn’t just die off like that…

The organisational talent and events market and people’s spending power can probably support replacement or alternative events.

    Hopefully…

  • Oh yeah American Gods was pretty good too. I loved the little side storied about other gods. There was one who was a prostitute that ate a man, a jin that body swapped with a struggling businessman, and also something about an ancient god from the prehistoric age.

    Stardust is a fun movie.

The first time i watched was in the cinema. I was so smitten by the pretty star lol. The next time i watched w was with my gf. It was torrented and we watched on a computer… we didn’t finish watching lol

  • I have not read it, but i shall!

Gaiman’s novel “Neverwhere” is also super super good. A very average man enters a different world, faces challenges, seduction and love. The writing was superb, a perfect balance of humour and plot and action. One of the ‘classes’ of people in Neverwhere is the Velvet. The protagonist referred to her as a velcro. That was unexpectedly funny.

And what a bittersweet ending. I’m a sucker for this kind of endings. Stephen King also does these kinds of ‘breakup’ endings sometimes.

Side note, the movie Stardust was also really good. Also an “a very average man enters a different world, faces challenges, seduction and love.” kind of story, but it’s the details that make a movie/story.

  • So far no deformation. They dont curl up at the edges like the cheapo coil mat that came with the car.

Easy to clean. The grooves and pits to collect dust are diamond shaped, so it doesn’t actually trap dust. They just lets the particles drop inside. Easy to vacuum or flip out.

They are made to fit your car (assuming your car is on their list) so the fitment is very good.

Totally no regret buying them, I held off the purchase for so many years and suffered to peeling coil mat. Should have bought at least 2 years earlier.

  • Yup, Chinese do a big celebration during CNY. When Malays and Indians have big celebrations for hari raya and deepavali, it’s assumed those are their new years. Some older Chinese folks (especially those who didn’t attend school much) simply refer to Raya and Deepavali as Malay people new year and Indian people new year.

I had that assumption maybe till schooling age.

  • It was super popular during MCO. Everyone got time and some of these sellera are really good at interacting with audience.

My wife and a few friends regularly watched a fish seller in klang. Indian guy, spoke absolutely perfect bahasa pasar chinese. Someone commented on his chatbox asking what god he prays to (that’s just colloquial chinese for what religion are you). He said aiya indian god la. I thought that was so unnecessary and amusing.

  • what if the turns are extremely tight and successive

Yeah then have to drive slower so that the car has enough time to roll back and forth between the turns. So when driving for occupant comfort the limit is not grip but it’s something more complicated.

I think, occupant comfort is not limited by grip/acceleration alone, but by also the rate of change of acceleration (in all directions and rotations). Assuming everyone are in seatbelts and kids are in car seats so no one rattles around in the car. I notice that I can still brake slightly aggressively if I ease onto the pedal gradually and pile it on slowly.
