It really depends on home electricity costs. Even then, if you already drive a relatively efficient ICE vehicle the savings on gas may not make up for the increased cost of an EV.
I have done the math on many different EVs compared to the ICE vehicles that I drive. For me, there isn’t one scenario where the EV plus charging at home comes out cheaper than buying a new version of the ICE vehicle that I own plus gas. Adding in fast charging would only make the difference wider.
