In my mind ICE vehicles are now more closely associated with coal powered steam engines than they are with electric vehicles, quaint, historically significant, but just an interesting footnote in history for how we solved a problem when we knew less than we do now.

Only surprise is how quickly i decoupled associating performance with noise.

Now i associate noise with:

• waste / inefficiency
• unnecessarily complication ( rube goldberg approach to performance )
• temperamental / fragile ( $$$ maintenance )
• only narrowly responsive ( powerband lacking )
