Everyone knows that gas prices, now that they are low, will never rise again.
Time to buy a 6-liter monster SUV!

I can run a Bolt EV on a road trip in 40% more time than would take an ICE vehicle.
Your charging strategy was not optimal for the EQB.
[obligatory in every discussion now]
“But not everyone parks at night where charging can be installed, or can afford to install L2 charging at their home. Therefore no one should buy an electric car!”
(never mind that nearly everyone comes up with an extra $1200 for alloy wheels and window tinting they don’t need, and the savings from switching from gasoline will pay for a home L2 charger in the first year)
You forgot “Not everyone is able to install L2 charging at home, or can afford to do so, so we should avoid electric vehicles altogether.”
For some reason, that argument makes people feel quite proud of themselves, and very original and eloquent.
There is a consistent fascination in online energy discourse with going off-grid or building the smallest possible microgrids, to the point that I would not be surprised to see multiple independent grids proposed for a single home.
It’s really weird; almost some kind if fetish, and it ignores the immense economies of scale and ease of switching to the greenest sources that large grids offer.
Dealer also told me DCFC charging was best for battery longevity.
Dealerships are where truth goes to die.
What is the obsession with doing this?
At least the guys trying to power EVs with solar panels on the roof and hood have gone quiet for now.
