Yes, very much. I bought a relatively new car (4 years old) to not have to deal with that crap, yet 6-7 months into my ownership rattles started. Pretty sure the engine mounts are starting to go, causing some other noises, as well as the interior plastic rattling
It depends on the area. I care about the steering wheel. My car is not very expensive but has a leather-wrapped wheel, which is very pleasant to operate. Once I drove a rental cheap trim Seat Ibiza with plain plastic wheel, it’s livable, but degrades the experience. Same with materials all around you (dash, door cards, etc). I don’t care how they feel, what’s important is how they look
