  • Conservatives have shown themselves incredibly poor fiscal stewards across Canada. When they say they run government like a business, it is more like in a “make numbers look rosy this quarter, next quarter is someone else’s problem” way, as opposed to a business that intends to last into the long term. My biggest concern is that the province’s assets will be sold off by the BC Cons to pretend the budget hole is filled in whatever year they feel like they need to pretend they are fiscally responsible.

  • It’s a moment that almost didn’t happen. Doiron says she helped raise Ella, but when her parents unexpectedly sold the cow, she was devastated.

“I was so mad at my parents, because she was just the cow I liked,” she said, recalling the way she loved all of Ella’s spots as a kid.

Doiron was determined to be reunited with her favourite cow, and when the opportunity arose, she re-purchased Ella, despite objections from her parents. “I need to bring this cow home,” she told her mom.

Dorion was definitely upset until the cow(s) came home.

  • Dangerous or not, many Canadians believe that. The “political honeymoon” period has morphed into at least a political 1-term relationship. It sickens me that Carney’s first national interest project is a pipeline, since it’s like the last project that should be on that list. That said, Carney’s balloon fills with hot air every time Trump talks dirt about Canada. So I might argue he is the person made for the moment.
