Aligns are not meant for running and the fabric pills really easily, especially if your thighs touch. Also, I do not recommend sizing down for more compression with aligns because that puts a lot of pressure on the fabric and ruins the longevity of it, and makes them pill really easily. Aligns are not meant to be compression leggings, but many people make that mistake and wonder why they don’t last long.
Wunder trains will give you a lot of compression, and I actually find they fit true to size or smaller, so many guests and educators alike will size up to get a good fit. If you have curves, they come in a contour fit to help give more room in the thighs which also helps with longevity and staying in place. They’re a good option for running but there are a couple leggings from lulu that are specifically designed for running that might work better.

Swift speed. These have the compression you want, and are made with luxtreme fabric that is incredibly resistant. And they have a ton of features such as pockets so you don’t have to buy other accessories to hold your phone and keys during runs.

Fast and free. These are very lightweight and I find they’re quite compressive but not everyone does. I don’t have much experience with them but they are really nice and very resistant so you don’t have to worry about piling.

For me, I would pay the price just to have the higher rise. I had regular dance studio pants and I never wore them because they were too low rise and made me uncomfortable—but other than that I loved the style. So if you’re more comfortable with higher rise and find you won’t wear the mid rise than it’s worth it to pay full price just for that because at the end of the day you’ll wear them more and get more use out of them.
