1·14 days agoOthers are saying that Torrentio blocks VPNs, so I’m going to try Torrentio alternatives.

1·14 days agoSo a Torrentio alternative is necessary is what I’m understanding?
I went with Premiumize instead and no issues. Very straightforward.

2·14 days agoI’ll try ToreentsDB, thanks. I was planning on paying for TorBox with a Privacy(.)com virtual card, not my actual bank card.
Public WiFi is s good idea, and I’ll try that. Thanks.

1·14 days agoSo the streaming and torrent websites will block the software that makes it possible to access them privately? That’s mind boggling honestly.
I gave up on TorBox and went to Premiumize instead. No issues.

1·14 days agoI’ve thought about that too, but my concern is how to control the laptop from afar? Also I would like to set this up for my family so it needs to be user friendly and not technical at all. Or the least amount possible.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Do I need an alias email service?
4·1 month agoInteresting. Wouldn’t it be easier with a catch-all? Like if I walk into a business and they ask me for an email I could give them business1@domain.com. And then business2@domain.com for the business next door.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Do I need an alias email service?
3·1 month agoFair enough. So do you do a custom domain for every single service you use?

1·1 month agoWould a faulty implementation be only if you did it manually? In other words, if I just go through the motions of turning on the VPN, theoretically there should be no leak right?

3·1 month agoShould you change your DNS if you have your VPN on?
This is your brain on AI.

With Jellyfin doesn’t everything need to be downloaded somewhere and then added to it?
I agree about the family stuff. I was hoping to just configure everything for them, which is why I was hoping Stremio or Nuvio would work. Because then the configuration carries over to the other devices once I sign into my account.
