I don’t use Windows anymore. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not one of those “Linux purists”, if other people wanna use Windows, go ahead. But I’m not using it. I swear to god, if it becomes mandatory to use Windows at my company, I’m leaving the next day.

I read the post and thought to myself “am I the only one who hates .NET?”. Glad to know that I’m not the only one. Count me in on that hunt bro.
The only people who can get away with putting malware in your games are companies who put that DRM crap like Denuvo. Plus, they charge you money for it.
If you don’t Rock and Stone, you ain’t comin’ home!
OK, that’s the first reasonable explanation I’ve come across. I wish Greg Linus didn’t reply in that kind of “angry” tone, because for some of us it’s not that obvious.
I’m almost going full circle now, I’m buying a camera and a Music player to use as separate devices from my phone. Not only smartphones are getting expensive as hell, but the usability is actually getting worse IMHO.
And why is it so fucking awful to setup an automated pipeline to deploy smartphone apps (Android and iOS)?
Trump: Can I take your order please?
Putin: I’ll have a number 6 with extra dip
Kim: I’ll have two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda

I’ve tried a lot of different DAWs already, Cubase/Nuendo, ProTools, Logic, Reaper, FL Studio, Bitwig, Ableton, Studio One, just to name a few. I’ve worked professionally only with Cubase, Pro Tools and Logic. I hated every minute I used Logic. Cubase being the best for composing and Pro Tools for recording and mixing. Studio One is very mature right now and that’s what I’m testing, since they now have a Linux beta. I tried Ardour before and unfortunately it doesn’t come even close to being as good as a “real” professional DAW. Even Logic was more pleasant to use than Ardour. I really wanted to like it, but it was not a very pleasant experience.
Free Download Manager was pretty rad. Being able to resume the download later was a life saver for dial-up connections. I remember that it took me almost a week to download Gunbound.
Any chance of this having a Plasma 6 Global Theme?
I think this pretty much sums it up: https://mastodon.social/@hynek/113094547139925962
I don’t think y’all quite grok what uv makes so special due to your seniority. The speed is really cool, but the reason Rust is elemental is that it’s one compiled blob that can be used to bootstrap and maintain a Python development. A blob that will never break because someone upgraded Homebrew, ran pip install or any other creative way people found to fuck up their installations. Python has shown to be a terrible tech to maintain Python
Windows Recall + Kernel level anti-cheat. How could it possibly go wrong, amirite?
Oh no, it’s not. As much as I hate Elon Musk, Alexandre de Moraes is a criminal. Some of the accounts he is trying to ban are specifically talking about some of his criminal activities. He unconstitutionally blocked Starlink some days ago because Elon Musk is part of the board. He ordered the blocking of ALL VPN services because he didn’t want people to access Twitter. That creates a TERRIBLE precedent, even if you agree that what he was doing in the first place was right. He already blocked Telegram and have been censoring everyone who says anything against him. As a Brazilian, it’s really conflicting to see all this going on. Elon Musk is an idiot and Moraes is a criminal.
“AAAA” is the sound you make when you start playing this abomination.
I hope “normal people” start exploiting that decision too. Training AI to consume stuff from big corporations and using the result to create open source/copyright free stuff from copyrighted works.
Isn’t uv
being used as a package manager/resolver in rye
? I’m using rye
for my new projects and it’s nice because ruff
and pytest
are being unified in it too.
Oh man, I would kill for this…
Just STFU man
Goddammit. Well, I’m a DevOps engineer and we are migrating to a new set of AWS accounts where I’m working at. It’s no easy task so, I get it… If it has to be delayed, it has to be delayed.
