Except you can’t actually just buy the system, you have to be in one of their pilot trials, which does make Lighting realistically the only EV in market with the feature.

The range is only good, not great.

The charging is only good, not great.

The safety is comparable, nothing special.

The luxury is only good, not great.

The price is not great, not good, but merely mediocre.

They knocked all the EV features over to Google, who just isn’t as good at them yet.

Knock $10k off, or add 75 miles, then maybe.

I found it totally underhelming.

Every dealer I’ve worked with has been nothing but a pleasure. Easy transparent upfront pricing, and knowledgeable EV specialists, most of whom drive EVs themselves.

I have to pay someone to install a wall charger.

You don’t *have* to. There are more affordable solutions.

There’s also the ability to make the electricity for free on your roof.

All in all nothing here suggests not to buy the EV. Can’t imagine why people would still consider ICE, especially in California.
