For me, being around “normal” people is just not that comfortable so naturally all my friends tend to be some kind of neurodivergent

I now have a Bluetooth DAC, but it’s not as easy as just plugging headphones directly into the phone, and I need to remember to charge it or not to loose it (I already lost one)

The clip is designed to hold the cap quite firmly. It’s very handy, but not as good as actual headlamp
It’s an Olight Baton 3, you can look up better pictures on the internet if you want

RIP my old LG G6, really miss that headphone jack

The lack of expandable storage on my phone really hurts the audio player experience for me. I would really like to have all my music just on my phone.
And the lack of headphone jack is really annoying too. I’ve spent over 160€ on headphone DACs since I replaced my old LG G6 with Samsung S22. Before that I just had the phone, which had a really nice sound quality. Now I’ve lost some DACs and another one is starting to malfunction since I dropped it.
I’m really starting to consider an mp3 player rn.

Do it! Selfhosting is a great hobby

I carry with me a small rechargeable flashlight everywhere and use it almost every day. I do not think I could have spent that money better.
It has a low light mode so I can see at night in the bedroom without waking up my partner and it’s really powerful at the same time. It even has a magnet and baseball cap clip so the hands can be free to do other stuff.
Having a flashlight in the phone is really nice, but I don’t think I will use it again.
Here in Poland it works quite well, at least when the merge is expected.
But we have signs reminding people of that and they also display this kind of driving tips on info boards on motorways when there is nothing more important.

You all are using wrong website for HTTP statuses, this is my personal goto: https://http.cat/status/409
So minigames when shaders compile?

Gemma 4 seems nice for local usage, way faster than Qwen models.
I was able to run 27B Gemma on my PC, where 14B Qwen was to slow due to CPU offload

Sometimes I break down the tasks into smaller pieces and it works but sometimes I get even more overwhelmed by the multiple new tasks so I end up doing nothing

It would be more like a statement
And sending them a GDPR notice would be such a nice feeling, hope they will get fined by EU again

micro is nice, I’ve been using it more for the past few months
And for me, there was no productivity penalty when switching from VSCode, since I didn’t have to learn all new keybinds (still lacks a bit of multicursor, tho)

I wish I could just delete my account, but I still need it occasionally and everone in Poland is using messenger

I decided to go bare minimum effort to get the self-hosted music expirience, so I’m just hosting the music on NextCloud for the Symfonium app to grab. I downloaded most of the music from YT music using yt-dlp, since that’s what I’m quite familiar with and I don’t have the arr stack set up yet.
I’m planning to move to Navidrome or Jellyfin soon™
Happy to hear great suggestions in other comments

I use NextCloud for syncing photos from my phone and sharing photo galleries with my SO. NextCloud is quite bad for viewing photos, that’s why I have the Memories plugin and app, but it’s still not perfect. I also have the Recognize plugin, but in my setup it’s been broken for a few months and I don’t have the time to fix it.
So if I replace the photo sharing functionality I could replace the NextCloud itself for file sharing with something lighter. Might even go back to SMB.
I’ve been deploying Gitea (or Forgejo, still can’t decide), but I’ve fallen into the Ansible rabbit hole and can’t get out. Also learned Terraform in the last week and I’m still on the fence about using it in my homelab. It’s nice for the cloud but I don’t think it’s as useful on-prem.
I would rather have ADDP
