Agree with Electreks take on this, that what the Leaf needs is to ditch the chademo charging in favor or NACS for the US and CCS for Europe, and also just update the battery to an active cooled one with better charging.

Here in Europe, the lack of CCS and poor charging performance severely hinders this car from being a true first car.

The problem is that they aren’t. If you read reviews from Europe on these cars, they are what you expect of a car and most get at least as good reviews as the European and US manufacturers.

That’s what’s happening in Europe, the Chinese manufacturers are taking off, but at a slow pace as consumers are skeptical, even though most of the cars get really good reviews by motor journalists.
But the Chinese know this and are offering really good deals to entice buyers and it’s working.
