Lawful Evil that THINKS they are Lawful Good
Someone’s trying to prevent a Snowpiercer
We’re practically skipping there.
There is no legal justification for this teenager “trafficking” law that does not also apply to adults. If “helping kids get to abortion services without their parents permission” gets you prison time, then next is “helping anyone get to abortion services” can also prison time." From there there’s nothing left but “leaving the state to seek abortion services” gets your prison time.
accusing them of partisan tactics to block Republican judicial appointments.
The fucking audacity of this guy!
I believe he just wanted to take control of a popular public forum that had been recently banning (largely) conservative voices for things like dangerous covid misinformation, harassment, violent rhetoric/threats, etc. and he both didn’t want to become the next victim of the ban hammer and wanted to return those far right voices and conspiracy theorists back to the forefront. He also clearly wanted to control the narrative about himself too.
Yes. He tried to backpedal his offer.
Let’s not pretend the that was his original intention or that any real forethought was put into it at all. It certainly worked out that way, but that doesn’t discount the extreme stupidity, bravado and ineptitude that went into the Twitter purchase. It became a useful propaganda machine because of Elon, but that is different than crediting him for doing so intentionally.
Give Canada statehood, buy Greenland, colonize Mars, and do all of these things under the leadership of a bunch of television personalities, the budgetary guidance of a guy who overpaid for Twitter by at least 25 billion and immediately devalued it, and the control of a geriatric, senial moron President. And the dude hasn’t even gotten back in office yet. The Onion doesn’t even stand a chance for the next 4 years.
Yeah, people can be entirely earnest and sincere and still be awful people. A terrible person doesn’t have to be based in a self-serving/opportunistic mindset. They can just have backwards beliefs that result in destructive ideas and actions even while being technically principled and upstanding in terms of the ethics of their role and the law.
Cool. Now add Artificer.
That used to be true. It’s less true now. I thought so too, but looked it up to verify before posting and it’s now about a third to a half of them
A huge portion (33-48%) of illegal immigrants did not cross the border illegally. They just overstayed their visas.
Thanks. Full disclosure, I commented those the last time I saw this picture posted, so i didn’t just come up with them now. It was months ago. They are all mine though, except the obvious Spock on a Cock.
Hand to God, those are 100 percent my own
Spock on a Cock?
Vulcan on a Hulk Hen?
A Star Trekker on a big pecker?
Resting scowl and a giant fowl?
Half breed and an avian steed?
S’Chn T’Gai on a mount that can’t fly?
Letters from Whitechapel
My wife, father-in-law and I were playing a board game with my brother-in-law. In this game, we were playing as detectives who have to try to find his character, but each turn he could move in secret in one of several directions. We were a few turns in at one point and he could have been in any of dozens of places at this point. We drove him nuts by saying “he’s either in this spot or he’s not, it’s a 50-50 chance.” He kept arguing “I could be in a ton of places! It’s not a 50-50 chance!” But we just kept pretending we didn’t understand and arguing that there were only two possibilities, he’s there or he’s not, so it was clearly a 50-50 chance. He got quite angry.
No that’s not how LinkedIn works. If a job lists specific qualification tags like that, it marks those tags with symbols and colors them red or green to indicate if your LinkedIn profile has those qualifications listed. Those can be education requirements, certifications, skills, etc. That tag shows that their profile doesn’t have a bachelor’s degree listed.
What we really need is for people to be way more distracted and absorbed into media at all times of the day than they already are AND for there to be no detectable way to know they are distracted to everyone around them. The frustration of being constantly ignored combined with the urge to constantly have information or entertainment streaming straight into your cortex will mean that everyone is even more isolated and lonely than they have ever been before and are therefore easier to radicalized! Can’t wait for the new techno-pocalypse!
