  • yeah for sure, I appreciate you giving me a new perspective on the words. the internet exists for people to learn things, after all. ofc the n word has to some extent been reclaimed so I suppose it’s possible, although like you say, it does seem to be more on tumblr than all other sites combined :) personally if i were to take a guess as to why tumblr i’d say it’s an older site that really only has the core user base left after they banned porn. personally i’m still averse to those words but yk the only constant is change so we’ll see where we are in 5 years haha maybe it’ll catch on(although tbh i do not expect it to) sorry if this is hard to read i am not good at words


  • makes sense. i think it skews younger than me (27), but I (like i imagine a lot of people on lemmy :)) prefer fediverse platforms so most of my social media is lemmy/mastodon. I tried tumblr once a few years ago but had trouble finding content to follow (but now i’m having the same problem on mastodon so maybe i’m just bad at social media haha) thanks for listening to my adhd rambling
