No, that is really valid. It just kinda sucks to see something you spent hours on get that, when a 15 year old meme can pull 700.

That might be the case with !high_quality_gifs@lemmy.sdf.org.
I did eventually (recently) post to the comms you mentioned. It did help, because someone other than me finally posted there and it was really refreshing.
Nah, I legit enjoy it as a hobby. I did let things get to me trying to make stuff people would enjoy, there’s no question about that. Spend hours on something, enjoy making it, only for people to not care about the end result is disheartening. Imagine having fun making a painting for a year with the goal of making people happy only for no one to look at it.
Maybe with that community, you could crosspost to !historyartifacts@lemmy.world and get some traction. I think there is overlap there.
But yeah. People are really quick to say “be the change you wish to see” without ever had the perspective of putting in the work.
Same here. I am thinking about finding a mod that either lowers the difficulty a touch or allows you to focus on the industry more. The waves start to get frantic fast.
I’ve finally gotten around to Mindustry after seeing a post about it in a FOSS community here. Hell of a game!
That show is fantastic. I need to rewatch.
The teacher had also known Ty for a single day. I really can’t put too much blame on them, given the law and potential risks that are sadly too real in modern times.
The administration, however, were likely to know of his autism and probably could have handled things in a way that would have deescalated the situation with the cops (that they were required to call).
Not to say they are necessarily to blame (they don’t want to lose their jobs or see jail time), and I wasn’t there, but it seems like the whole thing could have been handled better from top to bottom.
Starrett tools. All of them. I’ve put them through Hell and back.
Yeah, but can I use the Indian service to make calling my number from there illegal? I hate to point out the obvious, but most of the scam call centers are there.
I started to enjoy watching it maybe 5 years ago, and I couldn’t agree more. The OP isn’t wrong in that it’s been hidden, though and that is so frustrating. Thanks to the blackouts, it is really expensive or impossible to watch most NHL games here so I mostly don’t, which sucks.
It absolutely boggles my mind. When I was in 5th grade we rode bikes everywhere without anyone caring outside being home in time to eat and do homework. Less than a mile is visible without effort, possibly even if there are hills in the way.
Nothing says love like surprise LFS.
If you’re curious, this is the actual product line. They are kinda cute.
The premise sounds awesome. I know no French at all. Would the fact that all of the signage is in French break immersion if I played the game in English? I guess this is something that varies from person to person, but it would be nice to hear from someone that has played the game.
Sigh… I had to do it:
[Title: “A Taco for the Ages” - Taco Bell Ad Script]
Opening Scene:
(Historical figures sit around a modern Taco Bell table, a mix of respectful lighting and serene ambiance, bridging time and culture.)
Voiceover: “Throughout history, great minds have gathered to inspire change, to push the boundaries of justice, to create a better future for us all. And today, they come together to experience something else transformative: the Doritos Locos Taco.”
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (taking his first bite): “Now, this is a taste of something different. Injustice anywhere may be a threat to justice everywhere, but flavor everywhere—now, that’s a cause I can support. It reminds me that small acts of joy are powerful. They bring people together.”
Rosa Parks (smiling as she tries a bite): “You know, I took a seat once that changed things, and I’d do it again right here for this taco. The right to flavor, the right to joy—those are things worth standing up for, too.”
Mahatma Gandhi (pausing, contemplative after taking a bite): “This is simple, yet bold. It speaks to the spirit of creativity and humble beginnings, and to the power of something new to unite us. A peaceful flavor revolution, indeed.”
Cesar Chavez (nodding): “This brings people to the table, just like we did in the fields. Fairness and respect, community and flavor—together, they remind us of what we’re fighting for.”
Malala Yousafzai (smiling, takes a bite): “It’s amazing how one bite can change your whole view of what’s possible. A taco that breaks boundaries—it’s a reminder that change is everywhere, even in what we choose to share with each other.”
Voiceover: “Some ideas are more than just flavor; they’re a celebration of what we can achieve together. At Taco Bell, we’re proud to serve moments of joy, community, and connection, one Doritos Locos Taco at a time.”
Screen fades to black, Taco Bell logo appears.
Voiceover: “Taco Bell: Feeding your desire for flavor, community, and change.”
Given that he was potentially living naked in a crawl space for 6 months, my guess is… wherever.
Thanks for this. The posts have been mostly me trying with no prior experience. I will certainly adjust things with this feedback. I haven’t posted there in some time, and I think I have gotten better overall, but you make a very valid criticism about accessibility.
