Some, but a lot don’t. Even if that was the only way to reduce healthcare costs, it would be a great application for eminent domain. Luckily, everyone else has a better solution than ours.

Other countries with universal healthcare don’t pay nearly as much as Americans do and not every industry needs to be saved. Health insurance companies are not even the biggest insurance employer in Connecticut, the vast majority of people in Connecticut had a net loss in not getting single payer through.
Of course we were affected. The last year I lived in Connecticut, I paid $13k for healthcare, as a mostly healthy person in my 20s.
That democrats tread on your rights. I don’t think it’s a real sign because of that implication, so it’s probably just another case of fake outrage
Oh, he’d definitely try to secede.
Joe Lieberman, an independent who caucused with democrats from Connecticut, listened to the businesses in Connecticut, not his constituents. They didn’t re-elect him, but that’s cold comfort.
I can’t read it, can you tell what it says? I can only make out “work”
No, she loves it. She also loves actual cucumbers, though I’ve never tried to scare her with one
We’re literally doing that in capitalist countries. If I want to break my lease without finding a subletter, it would cost 10% of the median annual income.
I feel like the water and ten meters are not a large enough barrier for me, but that is a cool picture
I sing this to my cat on a regular basis
It’s got to be very difficult to be, say, justice sotomayor right now, because that’s absolutely true. Her work is vital and she very much should not stop, but it has to feel futile.
I mean, we at least said we were against it. Slavery, the trail of tears, the Chinese exclusion act, and internment camps, as well as meddling in other countries’ elections, drone strikes, and border camps aren’t exactly pro-democracy, let alone gerrymandering and voter suppression that have been prevalent in poor and minority communities since they were first allowed to vote. I wish we’d been democratic from the start, but I think MAGAers are just continuing an American pastime.
I hate accidentally ending up as mayor on vacation
True, but the grift that is a thrice-divorced philanderer who made his fame in business in casinos selling commemorative bibles is a real paragon of it.
I mean, they do… just not ones that are laid.
I mostly use it in the shower, so that might be true.
So we agree that Joe Lieberman voted against the interests of his constituents (the difference between the 1/3 and 2/3 of savings).
