I’m from a Southeast Asian country known as Malaysia, and yes, not only it’s a norm to use QR for making payments at shops and transfer money online here (we have a unified QR system called DuitNow QR), but also when paying at some shops in neighbouring Thailand and Singapore.

Aliff@lemmy.mynameisaliff.co.ukto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is the number of Lemmy users increasing?12·10 days agoI do feel it’s increasing, and not to mention, I love scrolling through Lemmy more than Reddit these past few days, I noticed.

I mainly use it for backing up my files (and share the files with anyone if they want to see the file, rather than going through Google Drive every time), and storing contacts and calendars there too. Though honestly, I didn’t know there’s similar Docusign and Doodlepoll there, so I shall take a look some time.

Yes, this is correct… not just Thailand, but also Malaysia (where I’m from), Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Philippines, and Cambodia…
