NVLink died because PCIE Gen5 can handle incorrect now, no external hardware needed.

Tesla’s are good cars, just like iPhones are good phones. Fashion statements are a small part of the equation.
Yeah, and he notes why pretty shortly into the video: the PC realm copies apple. The video seemed to be complimenting apple if anything, and the level of engineering seems pretty commendable.
Regarding the tech itself, I was looking into it for my personal pc a while earlier and it seems like each module has a max of 10W as it needs to act as a heatsink along with a fan. Performs better than passive of course, but (as evident by the video) still falls short to a conventional fan in a larger chassis.
Lucid and Rivian also bleed money, it’s the nature with any new technology. GM certainly lost money, but they’re absolutely leapfrogging ford in EV nowadays.
Just feel like not investing as much in EVs is going to bite them back in the future
Late last month, Ford also announced that it would be delaying or canceling around $12 billion of its own planned investments into EVs amid waning demand,
Is that waning demand for EVs or waning demand for Ford EVs? Maybe if they’d build a decent economy EV (see: bolt) available for msrp people would actually buy the thing.
It technically starts at just over 300k. Just like a gt3rs technically starts at 250k. Even ignoring options, good luck getting either for msrp.
I’m not the biggest fan of the main LTT channel, but macaddress puts out consistently high quality content.
Can’t speak for the sponsored asus router they showcased, but I’m liking my google/nest wifi setup
Apparently they’re releasing a facelift performance in '24. The steering on the model 3 is intentionally vague but otherwise it’s such a good car.
Yeah totally, I find the sport auto tests far more interesting.
Devils advocate: a lot of these cars have custom tires developed with the tire manufacturer alongside the development of the car itself. If the manufacturer didn’t supply stickier tires, then thats on them.
Each record attempt comes with a video, from which you can extrapolate the above. The actual lap time itself (IMO) is largely useless, but the tools it provides are useful
Doug’s scoring has been falling apart for a while now. Feels like he assigns the 1-100 score first then works backwards to justify it nowadays.
I believe the M2 Max gpu is at the level of a 4070ti at best, but the larger issue is not many tools support metal for compute. On the other hand, all memory is shared on the mac so you (theoretically) get up to 192gigs of video memory, along with the neural engine for basic inferencing and matrix extensions on the CPU.
Essentially, the max is simultaneously excellent and falling behind in different industries, but you won’t know until you optimize and test your software for the specific usecase, and after that you’re beholden to whatever hardware puts out
Cuda is well supported and nvidia/amd scale well for different applications, unless apple picks up their software I don’t think the hardware matters much
I need an apple x google fanfic
