It’s disturbing. I deliberately avoid any community hosted on his lemmy.ml instance (the ml stands for Marxist-Leninism). I could certainly not stomach the Ukraine community there.

But it probably couldn’t have hosted lemmy.world. The answer depends on what the plans are for the instance, I suppose.

I haven’t seen a stated policy, I’ve just observed how lemmy.sdf.org and lemmy.sdfeu.org don’t defederate from anyone. Could be that they just haven’t gotten around to it, but I hope not.

Happy to be here! Norwegian here, 15 years on Reddit but now fed up. As an SDF member I’m happy that there’s a Lemmy instance now. The policy seems to be good so far – no defederation.
