You have several choices, a few to consider:
Knowledge is expensive in time or money.
Trade the one you have most available.

Archer A7 at home and I have no issues with.
So, the common sense part of me says… Don’t fix what isn’t broken and use the A7.
The /r/HomeNetworking side of me says, if you have 6/6e end-user equipment, test the Eero 6e equipment.
Then again… I’d have installed OpenWrt on the A7 already.
Their connection is pretty slow right now (20/5) but they’re getting fiber in the next 1-2 years with 100-300 down. (Haven’t chosen yet)
Target what’s there today with room for growth. For two people with low expectations, 20/5 is reasonable. Browsing the Internet and streaming video doesn’t require much if it’s consistent with good latency.
Use an 802.11AX router with OpenWrt and SQM.
Add ethernet runs and an OpenWrt supported Access Point as needed.
Set up remote access to manage or visit your parents :)
Profit.
