Yeah, this is what I need. For it to tell me to go left in 100m, then “turn right” and to be slow and unresponsive as all shit, but in 3D visuals. Great.
Please someone offer traffic data in OSMAnd 😥

I would host them on my own server the way I did before Github. Open SSH access or use a VPN and connect using that.

I can’t email 20 pictures that are 5MBs each. Gmail caps at 20MB and other providers have random other caps. No one in my life with an iPhone knows what to do with a USB stick. Nor do I want to use a computer as an intermediary to get something I wanted on my phone.
I’m not saying there weren’t always ways to transfer files. There always have been and I’ve used many of those ways. But god Airdrop is simpler and more reliable than most of them for small every-day things from phone to phone especially for tech illiterate.
I use magic-wormhole often but I’m not asking my tech illiterate grandma to use that just to get some photos from me. I’m also not going to get an iPhone myself to iCloud the photos to her or whatever Apple people do.
If email works fine for you, great. But that doesn’t make it a good solution for everyone. I hate emailing files around.

Because Airdrop is miles more reliable and easier to use than anything Android came up with (yes I am aware of QuickShare, it sucks)?
Because having two walled gardens where people need the same third party app to move data between them is silly?
Because Apple needs some “see regulators! we are not a monopoly, we are cooperating with Google :D” wins.

It’s a joke, same guy on LinkedIn has never worked for Amazon.

This is a joke.

This person doesn’t seem to have ever worked at Amazon. I think it should be read as “what the VP / SVP won’t say”.

Mozilla Monitor sent me an email last week notifying me that I was part of a Canadian Tire breach that included an email and password.
When I went to the site it wouldn’t show any Canadian Tire breach that I was a part of.
I almost wonder if they added information on this breach and then removed it afterward for some reason.

Fuck right off with over the air updates to my life saving devices. I have enough over the air updates to my regular devices that break things thank you very much. I don’t want my ribs or life to be next.

It still sort of baffles me we haven’t designed a better braking system for the heaviest and most dangerous vehicles on the road. I’m sure it’s not easy but it seems to me like society is taking the “eh, it’s dangerous but a good truck driver will prevent it” stance instead of “the breaks shouldn’t fail”.

I don’t see a way to contact Hootsuite on their website to complain.

Mmm. Thank you. Much better and not running in a weird integrated browser tab.

I do this. I always thought the dopamine and distraction reasons made sense.
But someone I know who was diagnosed Not ADHD by one psychologist also does this extensively.
Grains of salt.

I thought of pointing them to the existing service that collects this data but I’m not sure how well it would link to what they want; OpenSignal or something?
Nor do I know if this is feasible or realistic so I don’t want to add to the noise being completely uninformed.

It sounds silly to me that they want service providers to submit this data rather than letting consumers submit data or scraping it from other data. I’m not sure I would trust if Telus submitted once upon a time that a potential new address offers a particular service level.
English is three languages in a trench coat acting like one.

I stopped auto-updates when the last death happened. Now I’m exploring Lawnchair.

Stay the fuck out of Canada 😡 You’re not welcome Orange man.
