I used to have a modded 2nd gen Acura tsx, the one with the shinny beak y’all remember those?? I had it lowered on some forgestars and had different bumpers and a front lip, but also changed out the shinny front grill. And I got compliments at gas stations with people asking me what it was since they don’t recognize the car without the beak, and thumbs ups on the freeways.

And another unexpected compliment is my v1 370z nismo! I’ve always loved the z cars growing up, especially the v1 370z Nismo. so I finally picked one up this year. Car is all stock since I think it looks great as is. Now I know the demographic and reputation of the Z/VQ cars nowadays, and I also know it’s not the best car in the world and it’s gone through years without updates, but I still love it. So I don’t really expect compliments. But just driving on the street I had people flag me down and asked me about the car, or yelling “WHOA NICE CAR” as I drive by. Definitely makes my day 😌

Also a car guy in my 30s and I feel exactly the same way! I took a break from the car scene and now I’m back and it’s so different. Feel old but I miss the old days haha
