Great post btw. I am thinking the same. Also have a 2016 M235 xdrive and loving it. Utility is less imprtant than having the grin factor.

Might want a hydraulic jack like you use to change your tires to hold it up. No use tiring out while you undo bolts. Oh and someone to stabilize the door while you take it off.
