1·1 year agoOP here. I follow my Lemmy account on Mastodon and boosted it from that Mastodon account. I suspect that is how it got some cross-pollination.
1·1 year agoI started a Mastodon server and had been running that for about 5-6 months before joining a Lemmy server. I knew about other ActivityPub platforms, but hadn’t felt the need to join until then.

I agree with most of the sentiment in these comments. Allow users to adjust filters & setting individually. Block individual users if they’re reported. Save defederating for hate speech, brigading, trolling, etc.
