The server problems started again when we upgraded from 18.3 to 18.4. I spent a few very late nights trying to keep them up without success.
So I would prefer to invest my time in the future (censorship resistant and user owns their I’d) rather then pouring more time into the Lemmy platform where censorship and defederation are growing in popularity.

Your definition of “educational purpose” could include virtually anything. There are greater educational needs for that taxpayer money.
Consenting adults are different from kids. Society has always protected kids from inappropriate activities where possible.
What dies it gave to do with education?

Kids under 18 are kids, not young adults.
Having said that I employ of young adults and they are mostly great. If they weren’t I would not employ them.

I remember 40 years ago, our high school graduating class being told we were the worst class to graduate from the school in it’s 120 year history. Somehow most of us have managed to do ok in life so far.
