Movie makers would get paid more if they received good ratings from consumers. News Corp would get fined for destroying value.

So it’s not impossible. Now the tagging is done badly by “AI” and my feed content went to shit, even worse than on PieFed with a leaky keyword mute list.

Missing features were a trust system for topic editors (new user = 0 trust, etc.) and answer topic tagging - only the questions were tagged, which didn’t work when the question was general, like “What should you know in 2025?” and the specific answers were all over the place.

Keywords would never have worked for the infinite questions about perpetual motion machines, because the askers never knew the correct term. Similarly, I have failed to craft a keyword block list to filter out all U.S. politics.

Might also be chronic illness. I tried to reduce stress by dumping all hobby projects, quitting my job, and moving to a better climate, but it was really malnutrition, deficiencies, and leaky gut.

Manipulation by unnoticeable omission. Europeans getting a personalised censored feed, not getting recommended and advertised what they need. Social media giant AI detects an illness you have, and silences all content that could lead you to health. Dating sites not showing you the most compatible people. Job sites not showing you the jobs that could strengthen Europe.

Took a few decades and wasted billions of € to finally come up with the obvious.

Everyone who designed an air conditioner without a HEPA filter to stop the dust from feeding the wet coils is an idiot. There’s dirty air being blown through, so you might as well clean it. The mesh filters you can see through don’t do shit about the invisible dust that will kill you.

Yes, it’s a problem when you’re the last seeder. Torrents are shared in blocks of data, not files. When a file is missing, the whole block containing it is not sent. If you delete a tiny file before a big video file, the video will be broken for downloaders because the first block contains the tiny file and the video file’s beginning with the index with video metadata, without which the video becomes unplayable.
