I drove my old 996 C2 as a daily driver for 4 years in the Chicago area in the early 2000’s.
I swapped out to a second set of snow tires every winter and that combo was unstoppable. Never got stuck (even in snow over one foot deep) and I’d out accelerate all the 4WD and AWD trucks/suv’s at stoplights.
Folks couldn’t believe it, but that car was a fantastic snow car.
RWD 911’s are fantastic winter cars with on caveat. Snow tires.
If you are running on the “summer” rubber, not so much.
