In that case you would probably have less gas cars and maybe more public transit. Or are you forgetting gasoline is heavily subsidized by the government? Or how domestic automakers lobbying led to the death of the street car in the early 1900s? Nearly every piece of technology we have developed has some sort of regulation or interference with it, whether you like the tech or not
I don’t see him as some overly skilled driver but he has addressed that he often does his spirited driving off camera and the driving segments are just a stage to talk about the impressions. I believe it’s something Matt Farah has addressed as well, some audiences don’t take well to pushing a car hard on the road especially as it often involves unsafe driving. Plus with Doug it’s kinda hard to convey fast driving in his format as well.
There’s not much more I want in this world than a hybrid Panamera Turbo with a warranty. Turismo would be a nice perk too
375k brand new. Adjusted for inflation that car would be 500,000 new today.

Lexus has very little pedigree to compete with these brands. And at that price?? It’s more rare than these cars I get it. But objectively at the time was it that much better than any of these?
