  • That is true. Which is why it doesn’t matter if the bombs given to Israel are red or blue.

However now Democrats lost over genocide. Now AIPAC cannot play both parties anymore by making blind support for Israel the deciding factor. The Democrats lost because of Israel. Now they need to purge the Zionists and rebrand as the non genocide party, if they want to win moving on. This locks AIPAC in as being only in support of the Republicans, which limits their political influence.

If it wasn’t for Harris/Biden loss, there was no hope for Palestinians, or any other people in West Asia in regards to US policy. Now there is a chance that one side of US policy will change.

  • Well now that the election is lost, the Democrats could make true on their claim they would seriously end this, but had to wait until after the election…

I doubt they will, because every of their action has shown to be equally strong genocide supporters. But we should see the next days, as Israel still doesnt let anywhere close to 350 Trucks into Gaza, leave alone any into the north of Gaza. The ultimatum is running out.

Also as weapons deliverys to Israel have been and are illegal anyways under US law, now would be a great chance to get every Republican and Democrat who voted for them or approved them as part of the administration into jail and in front of a court.

Oh wait, they wont because breaking the law, which unsurprisingly helped the convicted felon win, was worth it, so genocide could be further supportet.

  • So not voting for genocidal candidates now make genocide support? stop projecting.

The Dems were hellbent on supporting gneocide. People chose to be fine with it, even attacking people who called it out.

The flak we got here for saying for months the Dems need to stop the genocide support to win the election now raises the question whether they were just tactically wrong, or whether they werent really into the genocide themselves. That would explain why now there is efforts to project it on the other people.

At every turn we were told that supporting genocide is better than supporting genocide and homophobia. Saying we should push for a non genocidal candidate, for which there was plenty of time at first, got immediately shut down.

The most consistent position of the Biden/Harris fans was to accept genocide, because that was the strongest criticism raised consistently against them. Now you end up not only having lost the election but having lost the election because you were in support of genocide.

It is no wonder that Trump managed to win, when the center is so morally bankrupt. It is no wonder that there was no way to inspire people to vote for Harris and Biden if the messaging constantly was “yeah we are morally bankrupt and we are also genociders and racists, but we are less than the other side. This is as good as we allow to happen”.

This is on the Democrat elites and their supporters. Own up to it instead of projecting the blame.

  • If “democracy” means i cant pay my bills and my relatives get slaughtered overseas, it seems a pretty lame thing to hold on to.

And that is again a big failure. People all things considered dont care about democracy as a virtue in itself. They care about economic and social security and a prospect of personal developmemt and social participation. contrary to the popular stories revolutions rarely were fought over political participation. They were fought over empty stomaches and lack of housing.

Trump understood to pretend to care about these problems of the people. Harris lowkey denied them existing.

I would have been happy if the Dems had stopped supporting genocide, saving tens of thousands of lifes and then winning in a landslide.

Thats what i advocated for for months. But the party would rather risk losing the election to Trump than stop sending weapons to a genocide.

Not voting is absolutely the wrong move. It signals complacency.

Voting third party shows that people care enough, but aren’t willing to give power under the current policies/proposed policies. This is also why ranked choice is vastly superior to first past the post. It allows for a more coherent signaling from the people into politics.
