I’ve taken regular gun safety classes. They’re less stringent than a driver’s ed class. It’s like taking the driver safety class after you’ve gotten a ticket. Yeah, yeah…let’s just get through this shit so I can get back to whatever.

Those were replaced with better tech that did the exact same thing. VGA - DVI - HDMI - Display Port.

I don’t know about you, but I still have one DVD hooked up. Because I have the option to. Not because the motherboard maker took away all the SATA ports and told me I had to buy a special proprietary dongle or plug to fit the replacement.

Bomb threats on Friday forced the evacuation and closure of public schoolsand municipal buildings for a second consecutive day, as the city continues to deal with sudden national attention because of false claims involving its Haitian population.

A second email threatened multiple locations that included Springfield City Hall, Cliff Park High School, Perrin Woods Elementary School, Roosevelt Middle School, the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and the Ohio License Bureau Southside, Graves added.

Former President Donald Trump and his running mate, JD Vance, have pushed those false claims as part of a broader effort to use Springfield as an example of what they say are the harmful consequences of immigration.

A wild guess that they mean Kamala didn’t do much at the debate except let trump commit errors.

She definitely has her car and I have mine. Mine’s over a decade old with over 100k miles, and hers is a year old. I think her car is really neat, but there’s a lot I don’t like about it. Too much tech, too many weird quirks in the systems, and it’s a little compact for my height. I’m glad she likes her car, but we definitely have assigned cars.

Dunno why people would criticize Black’s characters in film. I mean, that’s what he does. Same as Sandler, Ferrell, or any of the rest of the low hanging fruit, cringe, or bro-humor comedy actors. I wouldn’t go to a movie with Jack Black in it and expect Shawshank Redemption.

I was definitely in the camp of “Biden shouldn’t drop out” not because I wanted Biden to be President, but mostly because the people who wanted him to drop out just kinda hand waved away what happened after he dropped out.

They tossed about a few names that they favored and Harris wasn’t really on that list. People gave her a pass or offered some soft criticism, but she wasn’t on people’s short list.

While I’m very glad that Harris has really shone, I think that surprised a lot of people, there was still the opportunity for the DNC to fuck everything up and put together a ticket that would have been underwhelming. Luckily that didn’t happen.

I think this is an incredibly lucky “I told ya so”, the gamble worked out, but IMO it could have gone the other way far too easily.

Republicans don’t want freedom, they want to be feared. Because fear is respect to them. And the imbued threat by carrying a gun and the false demand of respect it projects is useless. At no point in human history, regardless of the punishment, has crime of any sort not existed. Carting around guns on every hip won’t change that at all.

TBF he did terribly on the first debate as well, however he was able to form up his “terrible” strongly in mostly coherent lies that left Biden’s mumbled and lost “decent” truths in the dust.

This time Harris led strongly and let trump hang himself, which he did admirably at.

Funny how third parties always rear their heads at election time but remain almost entirely quiet the rest of the term. Where does the money come from?

It isn’t trump’s people pushing the buttons. The people running around before Biden dropped out yelling “Genocide Joe” almost definitely weren’t under trump’s control, and were possibly paid foreign actors. The same was true 8 years ago.

Yet more proof that Apple has ceased to be an innovator that adds features to phones and now takes things away and leaves it to fans to make up justifications for it.

I poked around and found the solution to the issue in the MakeMKV forums probably just as you posted this. Thank you.

I guess I could have included that. It’s just a generic muti-error output stating it couldn’t find any files or that the source may be copyright protected - something I figured libdvdcss was supposed to work around.

Hmm…gave that a try just now and it said the version was too old (? odd, it was the latest listed) and asked for a registration…

Not sure what I did incorrectly, but that was the route I started on before looking for other ways to backup my collection… I dropped the libdvdcss in my Handbrake directory as was suggested on other sites, but Handbrake throws an error every time.
