I believe it’s similar to road rage. You are very restricted in your way of communicating and cannot read the other’s emotions at all. That means you have to interpret a lot more and that is done in your own state of mind, meaning you can easily take offence where non was meant and the other has no chance to de-escalate as they would in face-to-face communication.
Ignoring trolls and actual assholes, that kind of misinterpretation happens so easily, I’ve often seen it among friends (via chat) and my own mother raged about an email I sent her (which was then de-escalated by a single sentence in a phone call). That’s also the reason, sarcasm works so poorly online.
What about loans against assets like houses? I wouldn’t consider simple house owners necessarily rich and they should be able to get a mortgage without penalty.
Scam and speculation are the only use cases after all.
Of course it’ll crash. Saying it’s imminent though suggests someone needs to exercise their shorts.
This is refuted by his approach to only cut out half the tumor.

And you’re jumping to conclusions. If it’s even remotely possible my date is underage I’m out. Even if old enough I’m not into people looking like children.
trying to have sex, and the guy/girl looks like underage
No further questions, your honor.
So, you’re the kinda guy asking for ID on a first date?
Gotcha. We’re almost twice as many.
I have no idea about the credibility of that news site (not American) but if I wanted to construct ragebait targeted at the left that’s exactly the kind of story I’d publish. The comments here show great engagement.
Longer ago than the others though. And there hasn’t been a single version of Windows that didn’t make me bite my desk. Windows 95 jammed itself up so often that my friends and I kept a fresh install in a separate directory to at least skip installation when setting it up from scratch.

Software patents usually are shitty like that. And weirdly “state or the art” doesn’t seem to apply to them. Their only purpose is trolling your competition and the consumer is left with fewer and poorer choices and higher prices due to royalty costs.
One of the most infamous examples is Microsoft filing a patent for the mouse double click in 2002, getting it granted in 2004 while the thing was actually developed before the 80s (and not by Microsoft, of course).
I question the usefulness for society of patents in general but software patents especially should be abolished.
Kinda. It’s basically a love child between server hosting and streaming services with focus on gaming.
You can connect your Steam account, for example, and then run games on their hardware which is streamed to you by browser. So you have control which games to run into but have to bring your own.
Payment options include more powerful hardware but even the basic one was great when I used it. So I could play a modern game with raytracing on my old potato. Your machine just needs to be able to easily stream stuff, so run a modern browser without sweating.
On the offside, it’s naturally always online and I had latency problems when many players were online which was common on weekends and what got me to upgrade my setup eventually.
You’re the one reducing human beings to their diseases. That’s beyond just being a dick. It’s dehumanizing. But apparently that’s a-okay on this supposed leftist platform.
I used it in the beginning for this early adopter price to be able to play Cyberpunk 2077 on my 15 year old PC. It was great but I canceled because of hardware upgrades since then. Apparently, just in time before the inevitable enshittification.
a bunch of strangers that are essentially walking disease vectors
What came first? Anxiety or this totally healthy attitude?
Maybe because the consensual one isn’t usually mind-blowing?
