On my instance it marks the Lemmy account and group as locked and the account must validate the subscription. I don’t have this problem using a Mastodon account though.

C’est plutôt le contraire à partir de mon instance gotosocial je n’arrive pas à m’abonner à une personne ou un groupe sur Lemmy. les comptes apparaissent comme vérouillé. (Pour Masto il faut une validation de la personne quand c’est verouillé). Je ne sais pas si je suis très claire…
